Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness with Panera

In October, TOKY’s national partnership with Panera Bread continued with this colorful, cause-supporting Baker’s Dozen Bagel Box designed by our team in St. Louis. With each customer purchase, Panera has donated to local efforts to fight breast cancer, in every one of its communities all across the country. TOKY is proud to have played a part in this vital effort!

Logo Lounging

The publishers of the Logo Lounge series of books, the popular compendiums of the best of logo design, have let us know that we’ll have five logos in two upcoming books.

Our logo for SPACES, a California-based arts organization, and a concept for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis have been accepted for Logo Lounge 7. According to the publishers, over 36,000 logos — 36,000! — were submitted to the panel of judges. Some competitions are harder to judge than others.

Three others were selected for inclusion in the Logo Lounge Master Library Series, a best-of-the-best set.  These include our 2020 logo for the Catholic Healthcare Association, the Art The Vote logo, and the identity for our own Midtown Alley neighborhood.

“Best of Show: Print” and 5 others at ADDYs

For the second year in a row, TOKY has been awarded “Best of Show: Print” at the AdClub St. Louis’ ADDY Awards. Those top honors were awarded by the national judges to our 100 year history book, created for the Washington University School of Medicine.

We had a second healthcare branding win with our “Understanding MS” video for Dr. Barry Singer, which also won a Special Judge’s Award for Public Service.

The St. Louis Public Library’s “Through The Looking Glass” invitation, the AIGA’s 15 Show Call for Entries, and the John Burroughs School view book won. The Hanke Construction logo won and was awarded a Special Judge’s Award for Design.

A New Website for Mid-America Transplant Services

In the midst of the snowmageddon meltdown that didn’t happen, we launched a new site for Mid-America Transplant Services, a not-for-profit organization serving regional organ and tissue procurement for eastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeast Arkansas.

MTS has a solid mission—to save lives through excellence in organ and tissue donation. They partner with the national Donate Life® registry program for Arkansas, Illinois and Missouri, and have extensive programs for donor families dedicated to honoring their loved one’s gift of life.

Before diving into design or development, we worked closely with MTS to determine their needs: their current site was cumbersome to update, and did not accommodate the extensive volume of images and content they needed on the site. We collaborated with MTS on a detailed site map and wireframes of key pages, whittling them to the last detail before we began design.

The result is a fully content-managed, flexible site built on Eero™, our proprietary Content Management System. We also applied a brighter, more contemporary look and feel to their brand, with an updated color palette and typographic adjustments.

The site is a valuable resource of education and information for medical professionals, donor families, recipients & the general public. It also offers a place of respite in the Memories & Miracles section, where anyone can submit and share their story of donation, or browse through a collection of memories from others involved in the donation process.
